Inaugurated in 2023, The St. Regis Chicago is the third tallest building in the city, standing at 365 meters (1,198 feet) with 101 floors. Located at the confluence of the Chicago River and Lake Michigan, the skyscraper features a distinctive design composed of three towers of increasing height, housing residential units, a five-star hotel, restaurants, and leisure spaces. An innovative structural system elevates the central tower above ground level, creating a connection that allows for pedestrian circulation. Votorantim Cimentos supplied approximately 85,000 cubic meters of concrete for this iconic project, including high-strength, high-modulus mixtures designed to support the building’s unique features—such as a wind tunnel on the 83rd floor that channels Chicago’s strong winds and reduces structural sway.
